1. Introduction

If necessary, RateON reviews and processes requests submitted by authorized representatives of government and law enforcement authorities, subject to confirmation of their authority.

Each request is reviewed on an individual basis and processed in accordance with the Service Terms of Use, the RateON Privacy Policy, as well as applicable laws and regulations.

This Law Enforcement Request Handling Guide describes the procedure for обращения and interaction of authorized officers of government and law enforcement authorities with the RateON service for the purpose of requesting information.

2. Law Enforcement Requests

RateON processes law enforcement requests from various jurisdictions in accordance with the Service Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, and applicable law.

If you are an authorized representative of a government or law enforcement authority, please send all official requests to the email address info@rateon.io.

We make reasonable efforts to promptly review all requests. If you do not receive a response, please check your email “Spam” folder.

In cases where a request is made within the framework of cross-border law enforcement cooperation, please refer to the relevant documents provided for by international treaties on mutual legal assistance, if applicable.

3. Required Information

To review a request, law enforcement officers must submit it in compliance with the following conditions:

  • the request must be sent from an official email address belonging to a government or law enforcement authority;
  • the subject line must clearly indicate the subject and purpose of the request;
  • the request must be accompanied by an official letter from the law enforcement authority and/or a court order signed by an authorized person, specifying:
  • the full name of the law enforcement authority and a description of its legal powers;
  • official contact information (email address and/or phone number);
  • a brief chronological overview of the investigated incident, including material facts of the case where possible;
  • all affected cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transaction hashes (TXID), indicating the token type, amount, and the relevant blockchain;
  • for complex cases — the total amount of funds (in tokens and an approximate USD equivalent), as well as a detailed breakdown of transactions;
  • information on the current status of the investigation, including details of the alleged offender and the circumstances of the first transaction.

All requests and attachments may be provided in English or Russian. Wallet addresses and transaction hashes must be provided in text format or as a copyable PDF document.

4. Emergency Law Enforcement Requests

In the case of extremely urgent requests, including the presence of a risk of death or serious physical harm to a person, please indicate URGENT REQUEST in the subject line.
